Adjustable (Series A) Shock Absorbers
The EGD MFG INC Adjustable (Series A) LOAD-STOP shock absorbers come in four bore sizes; 3/4", 1 1/8", 1 1/2", and 2" bore. Easily adjustable and available in a variety of mounting styles, they are recommended when the load weight, velocity, or propelling force are too difficult to obtain and only an estimate can be made of the total energy. These shock absorbers are well suited for the high speed reciprocating motion applications such as in packaging machinery, binding equipment, machine tools, etc.

The 3/4" bore adjustable LOAD STOP shock absorbers provide uniform, gentle deceleration of any moving load from 25 to 25,000 pounds, or where velocity and weight combination equals 4000 inch-pounds. The 3/4" bore adjustable is available in 1", 2", 2 1/2", and 3" stroke lengths.

The 1 1/8" bore adjustable LOAD STOP shock abosrbers gently stop any moving load from 50 to 50,000 pounds or with velocity and weight combination up to 20,000 inch-pounds.
Stoke lengths up to 4" are available.

The 2" bore adjustable LOAD STOP shock absorber gently stop loads from 100 to 100,000 pounds or with velocity and weight combination up to 94,200 inch-pounds. Stroke lenghts up to 6" are available.

The 1 1/2" bore adjustable LOAD STOP shock absorber gently stop any moving load from 50 to 50,000 pounds or with velocity and weight combination up to 46,000 inch-pounds. Stroke lenghts up to 6.5" are available.

Standard (Series S) Shock Absorbers
The EGD MFG INC Standard (Series S) shock absorber are efficient and economical for most applications where the total energy is known.

The Series S shock absorbers are recommended for press dies, press unloaders, molding machines, packaging machines, crane bumpers, transfer dollies, roll stops, dancer rolls, circuit brakers, flying shears, transfer machines, turntables, broaches, bending machines, turnover tables, for shuttle, bobbin stops, doors, carriage, car, counter-weight, and truck dock stops, etc.

The Series S are available in a variety of mounting styles and 4 bore sizes; 1 1/8", 1 1/2", 2", and 4" bore. Stroke lengths up to 14", and capacities to 565,000 inch-pounds are available. Longer stroke lenghts are available on special order.

Heavy Duty (Series H) Shock Absorbers
The EGD MFG INC (Series H) shock absorbers are built for exceedingly rough applications, in adverse surroundings, and for those jobs that involve high energy loads. These shock absorbers are recommended for steel mill applications, heavy mining and construction applications, and in lumber mill and foundry applications.

The Series H are available in a variety of mounting styles and 4 bore sizes; 4", 6", 8", and 12" bore. The Series H have load capacities of up to 27,140,000 inch-pounds and stroke lenghts up to 48". Longer stroke lengths are available on special order.
